Pros and cons of Beat the Traffic app for iPhone and iPad
Beat the Traffic app good for
There is always problem while the map refresh. Some parts dont and have to zoom in and out and then some other part dont display traffic status.
I use it to check highway condition before I leave, its accurate and saved me a lot time, especially for the traffic
I was surprised to see no reviews...
Amazing app, very well organised.
For first time I saw an option for colorblind available.
10/10
Highly recommended, especially if you fight QEW, 427 and 401 on daily basis.
Keep up the excellent work!!!
This app has saved me on average 60-30min each way. Obviously during peak rush hour it cant do much since Toronto is in gridlock after 4pm. However it will minimize the commute by getting accident reports, etc.
Very helpful, I use it everyday!
One suggestion for the developpers: make it possible to have the app opening on "my trips" page!
I use this everyday and it works amazingly well!!! Tip: create your trips prior to using it (its not the easiest to do on the go) and you can simply refer to it when youre driving on the function "My Trips". Checking the incidents page for accidents is great too, super accurate and I love the function of showing an alternate route. If you could please update it so the "smart route" can have a voice function this app would be perfect. Since its not our usually route spoken directions would be needed so I wouldnt have to keep looking at how to avoid traffic. Dont screw up my love for this app guys, Ive gotten a lot of people to download it!
Some bad moments
Isnt accurate at all. Most of the time wont show congestion until Im already stuck in it, so theres really no point for it.
The directions it provided for my simple commute to work were inaccurate. It suggested long detours that are not necessary. The idea is great, but google maps pretty much does what this app tries to do.
Waze! Waze is much better and includes alerts of hidden police speed traps and red light cameras.
If there is a accident or slow down the problem will be gone for HOURS sometimes yet it is still reported as a issue.
Stick with 680 news as it is still the best for traffic.
This app seems to use so much power my battery drains even when plugged into my car charger!
the app confuses North Vancouver Addresses with Vancouver Addresses
I mean it only misses by 5 kilometers
Wont allow destination selection by clicking on the map which would help alleviate this problem
I guess the next time I drive there I can use it for driving away from there
but still not use it to get there
